Anointing of the Sick: Brings the healing love of Christ. In case of an illness or hospitalization please call the Parish Office.


Baptism:  Pre-Baptisim classes are held every other month beginning in September. The number of participants varies generally from 25 to 30 couples per session. Meetings are held on a Thursday night for approx. 1-1/2 hours. First-time parents are required to attend the meeting. God parents and Grandparents are strongly encouraged to attend. God parents should attend the Pre-Baptism class in their home parish if they are unable to attend at St. Pius.

Baptisms are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month following the 11:30am Mass. Contact Deacon Dave to register for a class at 515-331-4902. Call the Parish Office to schedule a baptism, 515-276-2059.

First Eucharist

Confirmation: For information regarding your child's Confirmation, please contact Mary Heinrich, our Director of Faith Formation, 515-278-5684, Ext. 130 or William Brandle, our Coordinator of Faith Formation, Ext. 152. For information regarding Adult Confirmation, contact Mary Sue Lone, our Coordinator of Adult Faith Formation (RCIA), 515-276-2059, Ext. 134.   If you have a student in high school who has not been confirmed and would be interested in attending a class with other high school students preparing for Confirmation, please contact Barb Mease, our Youth Ministry Coordinator 515-276-2059, Ext. 128.
 

Marriage: 
One person must be a registered member of the parish. Call the parish office at least 9 months prior to date of wedding to set an appointment with a priest to begin the marriage preparation process.

Sacrament of Reconciliation:  Is every Saturday afternoon from 3:15 to 4:15pm or by appointment. Communal Penance is scheduled during Advent and Lent, along with additional individual reconciliation times.
